MotoGP riders favour keeping old Barcelona layout

A consensus to keep using the traditional MotoGP layout at Barcelona for future visits to the circuit has emerged among riders present at Friday evening's Safety Commission meeting at the Sachsenring. During the meeting, FIM safety officer Franco Uncini presented a proposal to the riders that would boost safety at the infamous Turn 12, the high-speed downhill right-hander where Moto2 rider Luis Salom was killed in a practice crash last month.
