Indonesia dropped from hosting MotoGP

International sports management company Dorna Sports have eliminated Indonesia as a candidate from hosting a 2017 MotoGP event after the Sentul circuit in Bogor, West Java, failed to fully meet their hosting stipulations. According to Ministry of Youth and Sport spokesperson Gatot Dewa Broto, Dorna let Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi know about their decision on July 6 in a letter. The reason for turning down the Indonesian track according to Ezpeleta was that the Sentul circuit management team failed to submit a master plan to host the MotoGP event, which should cover modifications and the public infrastructure, including the outside area.
