Sachsenring MotoGP: Pedrosa tops wet warm-up, Marquez crashes

Dani Pedrosa emerged as the quickest man in a wet morning warm-up session for the German MotoGP round at the Sachsenring, while his Repsol Honda teammate Marc Marquez suffered a heavy crash. The 20-minute session took place entirely in torrential conditions, with Loris Baz (Avintia Ducati) and Jack Miller (Marc VDS Honda) engaging in a private battle for the top spot in the opening stages. Both were then beaten by the Pramac Ducati of Scott Redding, who was first to dip into the 1m35s just shy of the halfway mark, before Pedrosa asserted himself at the head of the leaderboard with seven minutes left.
