MotoGP Germany: Lorenzo ‘improving despite three mistakes’

Reigning MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo says he is pleased with the progress he made in MotoGP free practice and qualifying at the Sachsenring despite crashing three times and ending the day down on the fourth row of the grid. Lorenzo went down twice in qualifying but doesn’t believe there was any bad luck involved, saying he made the errors. The Movistar Yamaha man found pace today as the track temperature rose, finishing qualifying two with a 1’22.088 but ran out of tyres, setting his quickest on a rear that had nine laps on it. “I wasn’t unlucky as I have the same tyres as everyone and I crash more, so I made something wrong.
