Dovizioso on Assen crash: "I pushed too hard"

Andrea Dovizioso accepted responsibility for crashing out of second place in a wet Dutch TT at Assen, the Ducati rider admitting he was simply pushing too hard. The Italian had started from pole position for the restarted 12-lap sprint to the flag, after the opening part was called off 14 laps in when torrential rain hit the TT circuit. Dovizioso beat Valentino Rossi to pole in wet conditions on Saturday, and the pair were running second and first respectively in the early stages of the second part of the race before Dovizioso fell at Turn 12 on the second lap.
