Dovizioso “lucky” to follow Rossi on crucial pole lap

Dutch MotoGP pole winner Andrea Dovizioso admitted he was “lucky” to get track position behind Valentino Rossi on his final lap of the session, which allowed him to judge his pace in tricky damp conditions. Dovizioso took pole by seven tenths of a second over Rossi, and he said his qualifying strategy worked out perfectly – having also topped FP3 in the dry.
