Iannone withdraws from Jerez MotoGP test after first day

Andrea Iannone has pulled out of this week's Jerez MotoGP test after the opening day, with Suzuki opting to save its allocation of test days with factory riders. As a result of losing its concessions earlier in the season, Suzuki is restricted to just five private testing days a year with its works riders, the first of which it used on Wednesday with Iannone. The Italian completed 68 laps on board the GSX-RR, with a particular focus on trying out different specs of engine, but will not be back on Thursday or Friday after the team decided it had done enough running. Iannone will therefore not be back in action until the next official pre-season test, which begins on January 30 at Sepang....
