Marquez and Pedrosa to skip Jerez MotoGP test

Repsol Honda riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa will both skip next week's private MotoGP test session at Jerez, the Japanese manufacturer has confirmed. Both factory riders began development work on a 2017 prototype bike this week in Valencia, where Marquez and Pedrosa ended up with the second and fifth best times respectively on Wednesday. They were due to move on to Jerez for another two-day test, starting on 23 November, but it has now been neither will attend - although HRC tester Hiroshi Aoyama will be present. Honda's customer squads, LCR and Marc VDS, will also skip the test. The reason given is that Honda does not have sufficient new parts to test to make using its race riders...
