Lowes to replace injured Smith at Tech 3

– Tech 3 has confirmed that Bradley Smith will miss the next two MotoGP races in Britain and San Marino after sustaining an injury during practice for the Oschersleben 8 Hours last week.Smith suffered ligament damage to his right knee in the fall and has now been ruled out of action at his home event at Silverstone this weekend.Smith will be replaced by World Superbike racer Alex Lowes, who tested for Tech 3 after the most recent round in the Czech Republic.Lowes competes for Yamaha in World Superbikes and helped the manufacturer to victory at the Suzuka 8 Hours this season.It is the first time in his MotoGP career that Smith, who will move to KTM next year, has missed an event due...
