Taking risks paid off against “weak” factory riders – Redding
Ducati MotoGP privateer Scott Redding said his ride to a podium finish in the wet Dutch TT at Assen proved that satellite teams can beat the factory riders in tough conditions. Pramac rider Redding and Marc VDS Honda’s Jack Miller – who won the race – took full advantage of changeable weather conditions, during which many of the category’s leading lights fell. “In these conditions, we have to take the risks, you have to try and take the factory guys when they are weak,” said Redding, who briefly led at the start. “And this is what we did. “I’m feeling more confident, slowly we are getting there.
