Assen MotoGP: Dovizioso leads Marquez in FP3 as Lorenzo crashes

Ducati factory rider Andrea Dovizioso headed Marc Marquez and Maverick Vinales in MotoGP's third free practice session at Assen. It was a customarily dramatic FP3, featuring a crash for Jorge Lorenzo that contributed to him nearly missing the automatic Q cut-off. Andrea Iannone's Friday benchmark of 1m33.591s was not under much threat in the first set of flying laps as most of the frontrunners lapped in the 1m34s margin - although the Italian himself did dip into the 1m33s. And during that stint, Lorenzo - running on the new Yamaha chassis spec that Valentino Rossi had opted out of after Friday - lost the front end at Turn 7, tumbling in the gravel and seemingly limping away from the site...
