Rossi: It was my race

In the aftermath of Valentino Rossi's engine blow-up at the Mugello MotoGP, the Italian has said that he believes he would have won the race if he was able to complete it. Mugello is one of Rossi's favourite stops on the MotoGP calendar and so when he was forced retire from the race with an engine failure that occurred as he was challenging Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo for the lead it stung a bit.
