Pedrosa says Jerez race "like riding in the wet"

Dani Pedrosa says that he was forced to ride as if the track was wet for the majority of the time in the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez due to high levels of tyre degradation. The Repsol Honda rider finished his home race in fourth place, 10 seconds adrift of winner Valentino Rossi and only three behind teammate Marc Marquez in third. Pedrosa did briefly usurp his teammate after making a rapid start from seventh on the grid, but failed to maintain his pace and was forced to spend a large part of the race focussed on keeping Aleix Espargaro's Suzuki at bay.
