Rossi feels 2015 qualifying woes now behind him after Jerez pole

Valentino Rossi says his pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix means the qualifying woes that held him back last season are now a thing of the past. The Italian scorched to his first MotoGP pole position since last year’s Assen race as he beat arch-rivals Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez at Jerez. Single-lap pace was a notable weak point of Rossi’s armoury in 2015, as Assen was his only pole position of a campaign in which he started from the top three only five times all year.
