Aleix Espargaro claims Yamaha winglets “can be dangerous”

Suzuki’s Aleix Espargaro thinks that Yamaha’s MotoGP winglets on its front fairings “can be dangerous” – but believes those fitted to his bike are not. Espargaro rocketed to the third-quickest time at Jerez in practice today using three small winglets on his Suzuki. The safety aspect of the winglets has been called into question in a bike-on-rider collision. When asked for his thoughts, Espargaro replied: “We need to talk with Dorna. There has to be a limit - if not, we can arrive at a point like Formula 1, and it can be dangerous. If you see our winglets, they’re very small. “We need to know where the limit is.
