Rossi: Second place "a shame" but victory was "impossible"

Valentino Rossi was disappointed to miss out on victory in his home MotoGP race at Misano, but conceded it was "impossible" to keep race winner Dani Pedrosa behind. Rossi looked to have the race well under control after passing teammate Jorge Lorenzo early on - but neither Yamaha factory rider had an answer to Pedrosa's pace. Running on a soft front tyre as opposed to the conventional choice of medium, the Honda rider passed Rossi in the closing stages of the race for his first victory of 2016.
