MotoGP to use modified last corner at Red Bull Ring

MotoGP organisers have modified the final corner of the Red Bull Ring for safety reasons ahead of this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix. Following last month's two-day familiarisation test at the Spielberg track, which is hosting Grand Prix motorcycle racing for the first time since 1997, it was decided that the last corner - Turn 10, dubbed Red Bull Mobile - required changes to improve safety. In order to reduce the risk of a serious incident, the corner has been narrowed from 13 metres to 10, thereby lowering the exit speed of the turn and distancing the riders from the outside barrier. This will lead to a loss in laptime compared to the times set in testing, the best of which (1m23.240s)...
