Ducati tester Michele Pirro will make his fifth appearance of the MotoGP season replacing the injured Loriz Baz in the Catalan Grand Prix at Barcelona. The 29-year-old filled in for the injured Danilo Petrucci at Argentina, Austin and Jerez in the Octo Pramac Ducati, while competed with the factory Ducati at Mugello as a wildcard entrant. For the Catalan GP, the Italian rider will ride the Avintia Racing's Ducati Desmosedici GP14 replacing the injured Baz, who suffered foot injuries after a crash in the Italian Grand Prix.
