Rossi take stunning pole position for Italian GP The local hero and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi beats Maverick Vinales to take pole position at his home grand prix in Mugello. Rossi post a perfect lap of 1:46.504 ahead of Suzuki's Maverick Viñales by 0.094s, with Ducati's Andrea Iannone in third, who led during practice and early session of qualifying.
