Official date for Americas MotoGP announced, Japanese GP cancelled
Dorna have confirmed the 2021 MotoGP calendar will now feature the previously postponed Americas GP at COTA (Circuit of the Americas) on October 1-3, while the Japanese GP at Motegi has been cancelled. Another change to take place includes the OR Grand Prix of Thailand which has been delayed by one week, and will instead take place on October 15-17. The changes mean Japan will be without a Grand Prix for the second year in a row, due to travel complications caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, while America and Thailand make their return following a year without staging a race of their own.
