‘I studied quite well the points’ from the first race - Alex Rins
The opening MotoGP Grand Prix of 2021 was a story we’re well accustomed to from last year, as Alex Rins and team-mate Joan Mir recovered from third and fourth row starts to challenge the front runners. Rins was able to recover from a start he called a ‘disaster’ to finish sixth, but at one stage it looked like a podium finish was possible before losing rear grip in the final laps. Qualifying remains the issue for Suzuki, but the race pace at stages was similar to that of race winner Maverick Vinales.
