MotoGP wild-cards return for 2021 world championship

Wild-cards were banned for 2020 as part of the sport's Covid-19 restrictions - scuppering the plans of Crutchlow's predecessor Jorge Lorenzo for a Barcelona race outing with Yamaha - but will return for 2021, "with a maximum of two per class at each event. However, as was previously the case for Moto2 wild cards, Moto3 wild card entries will only be considered when operated by an existing Moto3 team." The stricter yellow flag rules have also been officially incorporated into the sporting regulations......
