Suzuki 'couldn’t hide anymore' when Mir took MotoGP points lead

Suzuki team boss Davide Brivio said he only started to think about winning the 2020 MotoGP world championship when Joan Mir took the points lead at the Aragon Grand Prix. Mir became Suzuki's first MotoGP champion since Kenny Roberts Jr in 2000 when he sealed his maiden premier class crown in last Sunday's Valencia Grand Prix, with a steady ride to seventh. The 23-year-old worked his way into title contention with a consistent run of top four results in the middle of the season, vaulting into the points lead after finishing third at the Aragon GP when long-time points leader Fabio Quartararo struggled to 18th with a front tyre issue.
