MotoAmerica champion Beaubier makes step up to Moto2

Reigning MotoAmerica Superbike champion Cameron Beaubier will return to the grand prix paddock in 2021 after signing a deal to join the American Racing Team in Moto2. Beaubier contested the 2009 125cc world championship with the Red Bull KTM squad, partnering future six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez in his second season in the class. Finding little success, Beaubier made a name for himself on home soil, winning the MotoAmerica Superbike title five times in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020. The American Racing team confirmed last week its current Joe Roberts will be leaving the outfit, with the US rider to take Avintia MotoGP-bound Enea Bastianini's place at Italtrans next year....
