MotoGP season set to start at Jerez in July

The 2020 MotoGP season looks set to finally get underway at Jerez on the July 19. The latest campaign of the premier class has yet to begin as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, while the Moto2 and Moto3 classes were able to host their respective opening rounds at Qatar by virtue of having travelled there for a test a week earlier than the MotoGP squads were due to arrive. With the vast part of the world enforcing differing levels of lockdown, most of the schedule has either been cancelled or postponed until the situation improves sufficiently.
