MotoGP Misano: Fenati sacked after Manzi brake stupidity
Romano Fenato has been sacked from the Marinelli Snipers Moto2 team after he pulled the front brake Stefano Manzi’s bike in yesterday’s race at the Misano MotoGP round. Fenati was given a two-race ban by race direction after the incident, which saw 20bar of brake pressure applied to the front disc at more than 120mph. “The Marinelli Snipers Team shall terminate the contract with the rider Romano Fenati, from now on, for his unsporting, dangerous and damaging conduct for the image of all,” said a team statement. “With extreme regret, we have to note that his irresponsible act endangered the life of another rider and can’t be apologised for in any way.
