Andrea Iannone topped MotoGP FP4 as he continued his exceptionally strong home weekend in Mugello. In the practice session designed to help teams find a base set up for tomorrows race, Iannone headed second placed Jorge Lorenzo by just 0.084 seconds with a 1’47.548. Iannone who were experimenting by running carbon bracing on frames did his fastest lap on a soft rear tyre as he searched for the perfect setup for tomorrows home race. Jorge Lorenzo was a tenth ahead of his Ducati teammate with the Ducati duo spending a lot of the session running a soft rear tyre to see how it will stand up in the extremely warm track temperatures.
