Andrea Dovizioso edged ahead of Danilo Petrucci in a tight Qatar FP2

Andrea Dovizioso held onto top spot at the end of a frantic second MotoGP session in Qatar, 0.006 seconds ahead of Ducati stablemate Danilo Petrucci.  On his first flying lap, Marquez shot to the top of the standings with a 1:55.410s to go three tenths quicker than his FP1 best, while Yamaha's Maverick Vinales – who spent the entirety of the afternoon session on the same set of tyres – was his closest challenger on a 1:55.792s.
