Marc Marquez extends Honda contract

Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez will remain at Honda until at least the end of 2020. The Spaniard has removed himself from the rider market by signing a new two-year contract extension with HRC. Marquez won the 125cc championship in 2010, Moto2 title in 2012 and then - after joining Repsol Honda - the MotoGP crown at his first attempt in 2013. Further titles followed in 2014, 2016 and 2017, making Marquez the youngest rider in history to win four premier-class world championships. “I’m excited to continue to race for Honda’s factory team in the MotoGP class," Marquez said.
