Crutchlow hopes to race despite finger injury

– Cal Crutchlow remains hopeful of racing at this weekend's San Marino Grand Prix, despite suffering an awkward finger injury during a training accident.LCR Honda rider Crutchlow picked up an injury to the index finger on his left hand at his Italian training base on Sunday, requiring medical attention.On Monday, he was admitted to Pistoia Hospital and seen by Dr. Riccardo Simonti, who diagnosed a "lesion of the extensor tendon of the second finger", which was sutured.He then travelled to Parma to the headquarters of MotoGP's Clinica Mobile, where he was evaluated by Dr. Michele Zasa and Dr. Luca Guardoli.Given the location of the injury, a custom splint was made, in...
