Barberá set for surgery after collarbone break

– Avintia's Héctor Barberá is set to undergo surgery in order to treat a broken collarbone, ahead of the start of the new MotoGP campaign later this month.Barberá was training at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo Circuit when he suffered a crash, and sustained the injury in the process.Barberá will travel to Barcelona's Hospital Universitari Dexeus today (Thursday) to be operated on by MotoGP Medical Director Dr. Xavier Mir.Barberá finished 10th in last year's MotoGP championship, which included a two-race stint at the factory Ducati squad in place of the injured Andrea Iannone.The Spaniard will continue to ride for Avintia in 2017, alongside Loris Baz.
