Rabat to undergo surgery after Sepang testing crash

Marc VDS Honda rider Tito Rabat will undergo surgery after crashing on the second day of MotoGP pre-season testing, and will sit out Wednesday's running. The Spaniard was involved in a heavy accident that brought out the red flags with little over an hour left on the second day of testing at Sepang. Rabat slid through the ground at Turn 11 of the Malaysian track, his overalls tearing up around the left knee area, producing a deep wound that left him with the bone exposed. The Catalan also fractured his right hand and injured two toes on his left foot in the accident.
