Marquez expects Yamaha riders to recover in race

Marc Marquez says he expects Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi to make an impact in the Australian Grand Prix despite qualifying 12th and 15th respectively for the Phillip Island race. As Marquez surged to a seventh pole of the season on a drying track at the end of Q2, Lorenzo lapped a full 6.6s slower than the Honda rider, slowest of all in the second phase of qualifying. For Rossi, the day was an ever bigger disaster, as the Italian recorded his worst qualifying performance in five years with 15th place after failing to make it out of Q1.
