Baz ruled out of Catalunya after Mugello crash

Avintia Ducati rider Loris Baz has been forced to skip the upcoming MotoGP race in Catalunya following the foot injuries he sustained in a crash at the start of the Italian Grand Prix last weekend. The Frenchman was involved in a three-way melee at the first corner at Mugello along with Jack Miller and Alvaro Bautista. Baz sustained three fractured metatarsals in his right foot, requiring him to undergo surgery in Geneva on Wednesday.
