Mugello test hit by heavy rain

A test for the Moto2 and Moto3 classes on Monday at Mugello, following on from Sunday’s race at the Italian circuit, ended up a washed out affair, after heavy rain saw many of the field pack up rather than risk a slippery track. Brit Sam Lowes fresh form a private test at Misano just prior to Mugello, was one of those who decided against taking to track, instead heading for an early flight home. However, some of the field did make the most of the conditions to test out Dunlop’s new harder rain tyre, as well as a new option slick when the track did dry out briefly in the afternoon.
