Andrea Iannone dominates second MotoGP practice in Mugello

Andrea Iannone topped the second practice session for the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello on Friday, posting a late-flyer to seal his place at the top of the timing screens. The Yamaha-bound rider - who on Thursday confirmed he will leave Ducati for 2017 - ended up almost half a second quicker than second-placed Jorge Lorenzo with a time of 1m47.696s - just over a second shy of the lap record. Michele Pirro took a surprise third as Ducati impressed, ahead of Suzuki's Aleix Espargaro and Marc Marquez completing the top five for Yamaha. The second Yamaha of Valentino Rossi was sixth fastest, six-tenths off the lead pace as he struggled with rear grip issues....
