Iannone to Suzuki in 2017

Andrea Iannone has been forced to make a surprise move to Suzuki for the 2017 season after Ducati did not offer him a contract. The Ducati riders' future was up in the air following the signing of three-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo from Yamaha. Ducati have raised a few eyebrows by choosing to side with Andrea Dovizioso, who they offered a two-year contract extension. Iannone replaces Suzuki's Maverick Vinales, who joins Valentino Rossi at Yamaha next year. While the announcement is yet to be official, crash.net reports that it will be revealed at a press conference on Thursday.
