Pedrosa still Honda's number one choice for 2017

He may be in his 11th season as a works HRC rider, but Dani Pedrosa is still Honda's number one option to partner Marc Marquez in 2017. When Pedrosa arrived in MotoGP in 2006, he seemed the only viable alternative to Valentino Rossi's dominance. But, 10 years later, he still hasn't managed to win the title, even if he has come close on several occasions. During all this time, Pedrosa, who last September turned 30, has seen six different riders clinch the title: Nicky Hayden (2006), Casey Stoner (2007 and 2011), Rossi (2008 and 2009), Jorge Lorenzo (2010, 2012 and 2015) and Marc Marquez (2013 and 2014).
