MotoGP delays addition of extra team to fill 24th grid slot

MotoGP organisers have announced that the selection process for filling the vacant 24th slot on the grid has been delayed until further notice. It was announced in March that series bosses would welcome an additional one-bike entry to the sport next season, which, along with the impending arrival of the two-bike KTM works team, would bring the grid up to 24 bikes. The deadline for applications passed at the end of April, with three squads "applying officially for consideration," according to a statement, in addition to two that merely "expressed interest".
