New Ducati engine very, very quick - Stoner
Having seen what Ducati's 2016 engine can do in the opening race of the season, Casey Stoner is pleased that it's 'very, very quick!' Stoner was initially more circumspect in his appraisal after his return in January, but the former MotoGP champion got a chance to see the engine's impressive speed on display in Qatar, where the Ducati factory filled six of the top seven places on the speed chart. Nowhere was that advantage more clearly illustrated than when Andrea Iannone and teammate Andrea Dovizioso both sped past Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo at the start of lap 2. Iannone also set a new all-time MotoGP record of 351.2km/h (218.2mph) during warm-up. “It's very, very quick!” Stoner said...
