Retaining Lorenzo top priority for Yamaha
Yamaha team boss Lin Jarvis has confirmed that the manufacturer’s top priority will be to renew reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo’s contract. Lorenzo’s current contract expires at the end of the upcoming season and Yamaha are determined to keep hold of the Spaniard, especially as Ducati have made a “very tempting” offer. Valentino Rossi’s contract will also expire after the 2016 season, but Jarvis said that Yamaha will only give the 36-year-old a new deal if he wants to continue racing.
