Antonelli fastest in FP1, Kent fourth

Niccolo Antonelli continues to impress in Moto3 with the Italian setting the pace in opening practice at Motegi. Ajo KTM teammates Miguel Oliviera and Brad Binder were second and third fastest ahead of championship leader Danny Kent. Kent had been a fixture in the lower reaches of the top ten until the end of the session byt a quick time on his final lap saw him vault to fourth fastest. With a 55 point lead in the standings Kent can claim the championship this weekend if he outscores Enea Bastianini by 20 points and a heavy crash for the Italian left him eighth fastest.
