Lorenzo: Victory keeps title hopes alive

Movistar Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo says victory at Aragon was essential to keep alive his chances of becoming MotoGP World Champion for a third time. Lorenzo dominated the race, leading from start to finish to claim all 25 points and reduce team-mate Valentino Rossi's title lead by nine points to 14 with four races remaining. The Majorcan had Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa to thank after the Spaniard managed to come out on top of a frantic scrap with Rossi for the runner-up spot, denying the championship leader four extra points and keeping the flag flying for Honda after Marc Marquez had crashed out of second place on lap two.
