Espargaro fancies Assen circuit
Suzuki rider Aleix Espargaro expects to challenge for the race victory at the Assen TT circuit, since the Dutch track suits his GSX-RR machine. The Spaniard set the pace during the free practice sessions in Barcelona earlier this month and surprised the grid when he and teammate Maverick Vinales locked out the top two grid slots in qualifying, with Espargaro claiming his second pole of his career. His first pole position was in the Netherlands last year, albeit on the Open Class Forward Yamaha in wet conditions.
