Finland dropped from 2021 MotoGP calendar, Austria double
Dorna has announced that MotoGP's planned 2021 debut at the KymiRing has been cancelled due to the 'ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, as well as resulting travel complications to Finland'. However, there was some good news for the KymiRing in the form of an extended five-year agreement, assuring a place on the calendar until at least 2026. Replacing the planned July 11 Finnish race will be a return of the Styria Grand Prix, introduced last season, on August 6-8, the weekend before the official Austrian Grand Prix. < The Red Bull Ring thus becomes the second circuit on the 2021 calendar to host two races this year, after Qatar, but other back-to-backs could follow should further cancellations...
