‘Positive’ Iannone ‘why not victory?’
Andrea Iannone is setting his sights on a second ever MotoGP rostrum, and maybe even a debut win, after qualifying on the front row for Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix. The new Ducati Team rider lapped 0.558s from pole sitter Jorge Lorenzo, but was almost the same margin ahead of team-mate Andrea Dovizioso in eighth. “Sure yes, because I think positive for tomorrow,” he replied when asked about a chance of victory. “Jorge has a really strong pace for the race, but I am fast. I'll try my best for sure. I want to fight for the podium and why not the victory.” Iannone finished third on his Ducati Team debut in Qatar and came within one corner of a podium last time in Argentina.
