Maverick Vinales 'needs to improve a lot as a rider' for 2019

Yamaha MotoGP rider Maverick Vinales says he needs to 'improve as a lot as a rider' for the 2019 season, after enduring a tough '18 campaign aboard a troubled YZR-M1.  Vinales finished the year fourth in the standings with just one win, and branded his first two-year stint with Yamaha as the “worst” of his career due to the difficulties experienced with the M1.  Speaking at the end of the Valencia Grand Prix, Vinales says earlier in the year he wanted the season to just end, an expressed frustration that the campaign was concluding during a sudden upturn in form for Yamaha.  While vocal about the changes needed to be made to the bike for next year,...
