Lorenzo 'didn't feel safe' in slippery conditions
– Ducati rider Jorge Lorenzo has accepted that inclement weather conditions were partly to blame for his lowly grid spot at the French Grand Prix, commenting that he "didn't feel safe enough" to push in FP3.Lorenzo had suffered a slow start to his Ducati career, knocked out of Q1 in Qatar and Argentina, but finished on the podium at the preceding round at Jerez.However, Lorenzo placed at the foot of the 23-rider field in the third practice session at Le Mans, which was held in damp-but-drying conditions on Saturday morning.Lorenzo therefore needed to participate in Q1, but managed only the sixth best time in the session, meaning he will line-up from 16th at the venue where...
