‘Victory was possible had I not crashed’
Ducati rider Andrea Iannone believes that he could have triumphed at Le Mans on Sunday had he not crashed and been forced to retire. Iannone looked in excellent form during the race and had passed teammate Andrea Dovizioso for second when he crashed on lap 11. The 26-year-old admitted that he was frustrated with how things ended as he was within touching distance of race winner Jorge Lorenzo and could have gone on to win his first race of the season. "I had a good feeling with the bike, I rode without difficulty, [didn't have to] push very hard to ride fast and I'm very happy for this," Iannone told reporters.
