West gets MotoGP ride for Phillip Island
After losing his Moto2 seat, Anthony West will be return to grand prix in the premier MotoGP class for his home Australian round. West, dropped by QMMF after Misano, has revealed he is to replace the injured Karel Abraham on the AB Motoracing team's Open class Honda. The former Kawasaki MotoGP rider will be the second Aussie on the grid alongside another RC213V-RS rider, Jack Miller. Japanese veteran Kousuke Akiyoshi is taking Abraham's place for this weekend's Japanese round.
